This week they’re sharing some important considerations when buying new bathroom fittings.
Location, location, location. It’s all about location.
- Before you go out and buy a new towel rack or toilet roll holder, consider the space in your bathroom. You don’t want to buy a multi-tiered towel rack that may clutter a smaller bathroom. Choose something simple that meets your requirement and works well in the space.
-  Towel racks should also be positioned in an area that doesn’t get splashed with water and they should be positioned away from the bath or shower to avoid people using it to lift or steady themselves.
- Our Hubbies recommend towel racks be positioned at a height of about 120 to 170cm, so factor this into the size and style or your fitting. Have an idea in your head of what fitting may work at this height.
- Take measurements of the designated wall and/or a photo of the chosen room before heading down to buy your fitting. These provide a great reference to help guide your selection of size and style.
